Music Vocal

Music Department of college is named after Bhai Mardana ji (a long time companion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and a great Sikh Rababi) . Music as a subject (Vocal) was introduced in 2007.Since then the Department of Music Vocal  is contributing to the mission of college by enlightening its students in academic as well as cultural areas. Students of department have always shown wonderful performance in Youth Festivals in the form of Indian Music i.e. Light, Devotional and Folk singing forms of Punjab .

The department has well furnished room with facilities like Modern Musical electronic gadgets. It has all the instruments that are needed for the students of vocal music. Under the keen supervision of our worthy Principal and with her encouraging support, the faculty is committed to use these facilities.

Thus the department provides a platform to students at under graduate level to understand music and getting their soul contended with melodyalso offers a unique platform for students to explore and develop their musical talents, with a strong emphasis on classical and contemporary vocal music. The department aims to preserve and promote the rich tradition of Indian music while integrating modern techniques to inspire creativity and artistic expression.The curriculum provides in-depth training in Hindustani Classical Music, light music, and devotional music, with a focus on both theory and practical skills. Students learn various ragas, talas, compositions, and vocal techniques, under the guidance of experienced and dedicated faculty members who are experts in the field.

The department encourages students to participate in performances, recitals, and music festivals, offering them a platform to showcase therir vocal talent. Students also secure good rank academically.

Regular workshops, masterclasses, and guest lectures by renowned musicians further enhance the learning experience and provide exposure to diverse musical styles.

With state-of-the-art facilities, including sound systems and practice rooms, the department ensures a conducive environment for students to hone their skills.
