SC and OBC Scholarship in Punjab
The Government of Punjab provides SC (Scheduled Caste) and OBC (Other Backward Class) scholarships to support students belonging to economically weaker and socially disadvantaged sections of society. Panjab University Chandigarh also provides different schemes of scholarships to help students of both UG & PG classes. As per the type of scholarship, students can avail this opportunity irrespective of their castes , creed & gender. LIC Scholarship
Scholarship by life Insurance Company of India is helping a lot to needy and deserving students of 10+1(Medical, Non Med , Arts , Commerce ) & first year degree classes ( BA , Bcom, BCA and BSc FD). This Scholarship is given till the end of the course. A good amount of help is given after a student passes from different phases of selection procedure that includes academic performances as well as family conditions of the deserving students. A direct contact & home visit also being conducted by the team of LIC officials . After full satisfaction by the team members, students are selected for the LIC scholarship which starts from 12000 to 20000 as per the class & course fee conditions . By inlarge this scheme is very beneficial for motivating students to get higher education.
