Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College for Women is dedicated to promoting the importance of physical fitness, wellness, and sportsmanship. The department offers programs designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to excel in physical education, sports, and fitness training.

The curriculum focuses on a wide range of topics, including Anatomy, Physiology, Exercise Science, Sports Psychology, Sports Management, and Health Education. Students are trained in various sports and fitness activities, learning the importance of physical health, teamwork, leadership, and discipline. The department aims to create well-rounded individuals who understand the significance of a healthy lifestyle and physical well-being.

With state-of-the-art sports facilities, including sports grounds, fitness centers, and indoor arenas, the department provides students with ample

opportunities for practical learning and physical training. The department also encourages participation in inter-college and inter-university sports competitions, as well as organizing fitness programs and workshops to raise awareness about health and wellness.

Graduates of the Department of Physical Education are well-prepared for careers in sports coaching, fitness training, physical therapy, sports management, and teaching, or for pursuing advanced studies in sports science and physical education.
