The Department of Physics at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College for Women is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of nature, while equipping students with the analytical and experimental skills required to solve complex scientific problems. The department offers undergraduate programs designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in both theoretical and applied physics.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Physics, Optics, Nuclear Physics, and Computational Physics. Students are trained to think critically and analytically, gaining a strong grasp of mathematical methods and experimental techniques used in modern physics.

The department boasts a team of experienced faculty members who guide students through their academic journey, providing mentorship and conducting research in various fields of physics. Well-equipped laboratories, along with the latest experimental setups and tools, allow students to gain hands-on experience in performing experiments and analyzing data.
